DC Covers Project
When the Licensing Department assembled files for the upcoming DC Comics 75th Anniversary promotional material and merchandise, it was discovered that some source material was either missing or too degraded to use. I was asked to render vector art recreations of some vintage covers for merchandise material. I was either given or searched for the best scans possible, then did my best to faithfully recreate vintage comics and magazine covers in Adobe Illustrator.
What I thought might be drudgery turned out to be just the opposite. Getting up close and personal with the work of older artists gave me a newfound appreciation for their skills. One of my more enjoyable projects. Mike Zeck (vector ink and color recreations)
